What is Tauhu Begedil?
Tauhu Begedil, also known as Tahu Goreng, is a delicious and popular deep-fried Indonesian dish. Ingredients

Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the diced tofu, garlic, shallot, chili, tomato paste, ground coriander, sweet soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well combined.
- Form the mixture into small patties, about 2 inches in diameter. Coat each patty with breadcrumbs.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add enough cooking oil to cover the bottom of the skillet. Once the oil is hot, add the patties and cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Flip the patties and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
- Transfer the cooked patties to a paper-towel lined plate to drain any excess oil.
- Serve the tauhu begedil warm with a dipping sauce of your choice.
Tips
To make the tauhu begedil extra crispy, you can double coat the patties with breadcrumbs, and then deep-fry them for an additional few minutes.
