Delicious Vanilla Cupcake Recipe

Ingredients

You will need the following ingredients to make this delicious vanilla cupcake recipe:

1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Grease and flour a muffin pan or line with cupcake liners.

In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.

In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just blended.

Add the milk and mix until everything is combined. Fill the cupcake liners two-thirds full and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Frosting

To make the frosting, cream together 1/2 cup butter, 2 cups confectioners' sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 3 tablespoons milk. Beat until light and fluffy. Spread or pipe the frosting onto the cooled cupcakes.
