How to Make a Paper Kite

Gather Supplies
Before you can start making your kite, make sure you have all the supplies you need. You will need a large piece of paper, a pair of scissors, a pencil, a ruler, a piece of string, and tape. Once you have all these supplies, you’re ready to start making your kite!
Draw the Kite's Design
Once you have all the supplies, it’s time to draw the design of your kite. Start by drawing a rectangle on the paper with a pencil. The rectangle should be about 2 feet by 1 foot. Next, draw two triangles at the top of the rectangle, making sure the sides of the triangle are each about 6 inches long. This will be the frame of your kite.
Cut Out the Kite's Frame
Once you have drawn the design of your kite, it’s time to cut it out. Use a pair of scissors to carefully cut along the lines you drew. Once you’ve cut out the kite’s frame, you’re ready to add the string.
Attach the String
Once you’ve cut out the kite’s frame, it’s time to attach the string. Take a piece of string that is about 10 feet long and tie one end to the top of the kite. Then, use tape to secure the string to the back of the kite. Once the string is secure, your kite is ready to fly!
